Forest and modern architecture in this amazing cabin
The location of the construction is nothing more and nothing less than ten thousand feet high. Specifically, the panoramic view uncovers Colorado's Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Collegiate peaks as well as the South Platte River in the United States of America. The whole concept created by Renée del Gaudio Architecture gives each cabin very detailed functions. In the case of the larger one, it is designed for social use areas. Here we can find areas such as the kitchen, the dining room and the living room. For the smaller one, the bedrooms have been left. The connection of the two cabins is through two steel platforms through which we can move and enjoy the views or the forest.
This platform is built with an open grid that makes it non-slip. All snow falls down without accumulating in large quantities. The entire structure is also inspired by the first buildings that were common in this area. Starting with the Gable roof shape and the use of rustic materials.
The exterior part is not left behind in terms of beauty and finishes. Count with one cedar siding which has been dyed in a dark tone. Something that is perfect for the modern design cottage mix with the surrounding forest. Another aspect that attracts attention is the use of glass. The perfect idea for the owners to feel a more direct connection with the surrounding landscape.
Interior design with rustic finishes of the modern cottage
All the rustic atmosphere is accentuated by the plywood present in walls and ceilings. Right behind the kitchen in the big cabin is what we can call the master suite. An open room that shares space with the bathroom. Here also the glass has been used for the shower with a view to the trees. The most interesting thing is that despite the modern image Renée del Gaudio Architecture have managed to give it the character it deserves traditional design cottage.
