This small work located in Nahuas, Mexico, is developed in 60 m2 and in a country setting. It stands out for its harmony in the integration of three construction materials such as bamboo, concrete and brick; Through these elements, the designers of this house, gave it the possibility of obtaining crossed ventilation to acclimatise the interior, as well as the pluvial catchment, as a result it is a safe house and integrated to rural environments.


La rustic facade This house combines with great harmony its construction materials: oldhamii bamboo, concrete and baked clay bricks. The one-water roof protects the social, private and service area; while the outdoor area, which includes the terrace or outdoor lounge, is covered with a small roof with a slope opposite to the previous one.


The framework made of bricks belonging to the kitchen, allows to ventilate the food preparation area, which is usually with firewood. Although in this type of country houses It is also possible to use improved stoves, which also use firewood, but with a new stove design that avoids contamination.

Distribution, interior design and plans of this small house
The house has a small living room with direct access to the terrace, two bedrooms, a secluded environment for the kitchen area, and a complete bathroom. This design was based on the customs and usages of the inhabitants of Nahuas.







East interior design sober, account for the rustic structures of the bamboo of the ceiling that are repeated in their triangular pattern on the walls, and we can also highlight the design of the doors and windows that are harmoniously integrated into the whole both in shape and material.

Constructive details
For the assembly of the bamboo pieces a bolted system has been created, the joints being anchored on one of their sides.


Cross ventilation system
This house is very cool despite the high temperatures of the place, this is due to the use of systems of the bioclimatic architecture such as cross ventilation, and the height of the ceiling with virtual opening in the tapicheles also allows to generate that feeling of freshness.
