How to paint on canvas - Learn the step by step to achieve it correctly

Would you like to renew the decoration of your dining room, living room or bedroom but you do not have much money? We tell you that you are in the right place because today in Facades World after the comments they left us on YOUTUBE we will show you how to paint on canvas correctly. So if you liked the proposal, do not detach yourself from the screen because we are starting right now!

How to paint on canvas correctly

If you got this far it is because you are wondering how to paint on canvas correctly, we tell you that for this we must choose the right paint and know how to prepare the fabric. Painting the fabric, be it a dress, a T-shirt or a banner is something that we can do in a simple way. As long as we have the ability to choose the right fabric and the right paint to make our work look right. To choose the ideal paint, what we must do is choose between an acrylic paint or a textile paint. These are paints that contain a pigment suspended in an acrylic medium specially formulated for use on fabric. They are easy to find in craft or DIY stores, so you just have to follow these steps. Let's see…

Steps to paint on fabric correctly

  1. The first thing we must do is choose the right fabric to paint, let's keep in mind before starting what we want to transfer to the fabric. Ideally, use 100% cotton fabric, such as sheets or T-shirts as they absorb paint well, but the truth is that you can experiment with any fabric you want. We suggest that when buying it we talk to the owner of the store who will know how to recommend the ideal one for our work.
  2. Once the fabric is chosen, it will be good that we also have a small sheet or polystyrene plate on which to place the fabric when we go to paint. In this way we can draw and paint on a surface that will serve as a support and avoid future problems with paint splashes.
  3. Before starting to paint, we must wash the garment if it is new since there are always fibers from its manufacture that may not grip the paint in the correct way. Therefore, you only have to pre-wash the garment, let it dry and you can paint it. Perhaps it is one of the recommendations that we will hear when we buy the fabric but it does not hurt to clarify it.
  4. If the garment that we are going to paint is old or used, what we must make sure is that it is well washed so that it does not contain traces of starch or fabric softener that could interfere with our work of art.
  5. If we can take the time to iron the garment, but especially the part where we are going to work would be ideal. In this way we will prevent any wrinkles from distorting the work done.
  6. Once we have the fabric ready, we prepare the workplace by covering it with plastic or newspapers so that the paint does not stain anything. Then we spread the fabric, put the polystyrene underneath, and began to paint.
  7. When we paint we can do it freehand or find molds of the drawing that we want to make on our garment. There are thousands of designs that we can make and download.
  8. We suggest starting by making the contours of our drawing. Then from the outside to the inside we will fill in the drawing that we have made.
  9. Once we have finished our paint job on the fabric, we recommend letting the garment dry for 24 hours to be able to use it.
  10. For the wash we must wait 24 more hours, but we suggest not doing it until after 5 days of having done our work. This reasonable time is for the paint to fully cure.

The modern front entrance doors They are in charge of receiving your guests but they must also be prepared to prevent the passage of visitors that we do not want to receive. Have you ever wondered what the ideal entrance door for your home should be like? We in Facades World Yes we have and today we are going to tell you all the details so that you know them. Modern Front Entrance Door Designs - Pick the one you like best!

The modern front entrance doors of the houses are important elements in architecture and exterior design, especially in the security aspect. Therefore to select the main door of our house we must take into account: The aesthetics of the house, Security, acoustic and thermal insulation; and the necessary maintenance. We leave you a guide with the different types of modern exterior doors according to designs, materials and colors ... Let's see.

Steel entrance doors

Steel is praised for its energy efficiency, safety and durability. Steel access doors have a higher insulation value than wooden doors, sometimes up to five times more. They are also the safest exterior doors for your home and require little maintenance. They can be painted in any color and are offered in different styles, although not as many as wooden doors. While steel doors do not deform, can dent and rust. Its wood grain embossed finishes don't look as good as real wood, and some finishes may require periodic repainting. Steel doors also cannot be easily cut to fit an existing frame.

Wooden main entrance doors

Wood is the traditional choice for exterior doors, and it's easy to see why: it's beautiful and customizable. There many types of wood To choose from, such as pine, spruce, oak, mahogany and maple, as well as a variety of finishes, from paint colors that match your décor to varnishes that enhance the beauty of wood. The wood can also be cut to fit the doorway, so an unusual size or shape is doable. The disadvantage One of the main reasons for using wood doors is that wood can sag, warp and peel over time, especially when repeatedly subjected to the elements. Waterproofing can help with insulation and durability. Wooden doors will require periodic maintenance in the form of repainting. A door of solid wood veneer it is a less expensive alternative to solid wood. It is less prone to warping and increases the insulation value of the door.

PVC exterior doors

PVC insulated doors are made of composite materials. Like steel, fiberglass is safer and more energy efficient than wood. These doors are also strong and durable, and require little maintenance. Its faux wood finishes are credible and beautiful without the threat of warping, and there are many staining and painting options available. The PVC main entrance doors they can be susceptible to discoloration, but other than that they have few downsides. Unsurprisingly, they are usually one of the more expensive options - high-end wood doors and PVC doors are usually similar in price.

In terms of durability, strength, and energy efficiency, aluminum doors are similar to steel ones. They are modern in design and also do not require special maintenance. Regarding the insulation of these metal doors, the results are excellent through the installation of insulating panels.

What is a vertical garden

We will start at the beginning of the question What is a vertical garden? It can be defined as a green wall that consists of an installation attached to a vertical wall covered with different species of plants or flowers. The vegetation that we will use in them can be natural or artificial and is supported by a structure that can be mounted with different sizes both outside and inside the home, the options are multiple. These vertical gardens They are the ideal option for houses that have small spaces and in which we want to enjoy a green wall that connects us with nature and in turn gives us a different touch at home.

Courtyard walls with vertical gardens

Create a feature wall brimming with natural greenery. When space is limited, for example in small urban gardens or balconies, vertical gardening is an essential space saver. The climbing plants they are a good starting point, but also creeping plants, grasses, or fast-growing annuals should be considered. The walls are blank canvases and have the potential to retain heat well, so there are plenty of plants that will enjoy the conditions. Remember that the pots by the walls can be in the shade of the rain - approach this with a careful selection of plants.

Painted Garden Walls

Colored walls create exciting effects and add a contemporary element to a design; the trick is to use strong colors sparingly if they don't dominate the space. Use soft and subtle tones to create a feeling of tranquility and calm, a quiet place, a million miles away from the hectic pace of everyday life. Alternatively, the sumptuous shades of peacock green, purple, deep red and yolk yellow they add rich, deep hues that complement pale-hued foliage plants and flowers. These colors attract attention and are best used as focal points. The vibrant neon colors they scream 'Look at me' so use them sparingly to add dramatic touches to modern designs. Try painting a feature wall in hot pink or bright yellow - both colors go surprisingly well with a wide range of plants. Or add a touch of bright blue to chairs or walls to create a Moroccan theme.

Decorating our home with Christmas motifs is one of the most anticipated situations of the year, it unites the family, generates peace and above all it reinforces the inventiveness of each person. That is why today in Facades World we will show you how to do Christmas candles with cardboard tubes Step by Step. It is a job that does not require much effort and you can do it at home on your own with recycled materials. So if you liked the proposal, do not detach from the screen because right now we are starting!

How can we make Christmas candles out of cardboard tubes?

Making a centerpiece that is innovative, decorative and does not demand a lot of money is possible thanks to the Christmas candles with cardboard tubes. These are usually in each house and by habit we discard them without realizing that they can be useful for making crafts with them, especially at Christmas where the proposals are endless. Step by step

  1. We proceed to line the cardboard tubes that we have achieved with the eva or foam rubber. For this we will use the color that we like the most.
  2. With our cardboard tube we will measure its circumference and cut a circle of foam to stick it in one of its holes.
  3. We cut a strip with ripples to simulate the melted wax. We will stick it on what will be the top of our Christmas candle.
  4. To make the flame we will use the mold that appears at the end of the publication. For this we will place our mold on the golden eva rubber, we will cut two equal parts and we will join the parts to shape our candle.
  5. We will cut out a cardboard circle that we will cover with eva or foam rubber.
  6. We will glue the candle on the base with hot silicone.
  7. Finally we will decorate our candle with paper flowers, eva rubber or decorative ribbons to give it a personal style.
