One more week, from the hand of Facades World and our collaborator Eliana Poplavsky, we offer a construction class that will help them a lot in terms of the use of materials, their disposition and, of course, the necessary expenditure to carry it out.
The Stonewood house, from Breathe Architecture, is located in Australia. This is one small work of two floors and roof to two waters that combines rustic and modern, thanks also to the use of wood in an innovative way, in addition to the construction details that make this house original and attractive.
Seeing your modern facade, we will have a first impression that it is built in exposed brick due to the exterior shape of it, however it is natural wood blocks the size of a conventional brick.

All the interior rooms connect visually with the façade by means of windows, panels and doors that open and allow direct views.
In the interior design from the Stonewood house we can find many and varied wooden elements. The wall coverings, the mobile panels and custom furniture, all in a natural wood tone, give a feeling of warmth to the space. And as contrast elements we observe the polished cement floor and mosaics of dark and yellow stones, which they work as a coating on part of the kitchen.

On the first floor has been designed the social area that includes a large room and multimedia room, from both environments you can directly access a large deck located to the left, it is interesting to design two large blocks of wooden beams that cover both environments, these are also built with the wooden bricks above mentioned and steel as a structural element.

To the right is the dining room and kitchen with island and a very original design, located right next to the storage cellar, laundry area and bathroom; and at the end of the house we will find another deck, a small patio and a bicycle shop.

The area of the wooden staircase that leads to the second floor is used to place a shelf on the wall, as a way of using space.

On the top floor we will find four bedrooms, one of them en suite with bathroom included; In addition to a terrace that shares the same with another of the bedrooms. The headboard of one of the bedrooms and bedside tables are also made with the same used wood in the rest of the house.

Remember that you can be part of our community Facades World and share with us the copies they like so we can exchange opinions, as well as leave your requests so that we can resolve them.
