This work, formerly of vernacular model typical of the first cordon of the Buenos Aires conurbano, is located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Faced with the natural deterioration of time and the need to add a rental housing to his estate, this new project began.
This new construction It was added to the previous one as a complement in terms of its function and its energy consumption. simple and minimalist facade of the work, despite appearing to be one, includes these two houses marking their difference in the style of each, but also resembling a lot.
The access ladder to the new modern housing It is located in the garage. The constructive system of this new work is light, so as not to put at risk the stability and structure of the housing. The cover of this one incorporates a channel that allows to recover waters of rain.
The contrafachada shows a series of small openings, in this same climbs the vegetation grown in the old housing. In addition to the rainwater accumulation system, this house has a solar thermal preheating system for both houses.
