Today Facades World we go back with everything and analyze the design of a passive house that works 100% with solar energy. We imagine that they will ask themselves: How? Well, don't worry, because we will also share with you our interior design and plans so that you can see all its operation ... let's start!
Passive house that works with solar energy
We are going to know the winning design of a passive house, where solar energy is efficiently used through photovoltaic panels, it is a project of the Technological University of Vienna in the contest US Department of Energy, Solar decatlón.
For a project of this magnitude, the use of suitable construction materials should be taken into account, as should the house and the necessary components for the generation and redistribution of energy. In the case of LISI they proposed and managed to design, build and operate the most profitable house that could be made and that only works with solar energy.
House energy sources
The photovoltaic panels placed on the roof of the house they are the ones that lend their autonomy, in addition air-water heat pumps were used for the supply of both cold and hot water as well as for heating and cooling the house. It also has a ventilation unit with energy recovery (ERV), and as a novelty the LISI project has deemed convenient the use of a shower that recovers the thermal energy through a heat exchanger.
Development plan for the house that works with solar energy
The members of the LISI project, students from the University of Vienna, have designed the house in seven steps. The foundation, the floor modules, the internal divisions of the house, the roof modules, the cornice, the placement of the photovoltaic panels and the facade, each part of the house design must meet the objective set by the team.
At Facades World We hope and hope that this great issue will be of great help to them, and the contribution made by the children of the University of Vienna is not only recognized, but also an inspiration for anyone who thinks of remodel your home, or perform it from scratch.
