Starting with our daily post, we introduce you to 'Vila Matilde' in São Paulo, Brazil, from the studio Terra e Tuma Arquitetos. Which was built in record time and overflows with modernity, comfort, originality, good taste and low budget. These features earned it one of the 2016 ArchDaily Building of the Year awards. The experts described it as bright, accessible and comfortable, which added to the low budget and short construction time, made it ideal.
La original house, in the Vila Matilde area, was bought 25 years ago and in 2013 it began to attract attention after a storm collapsed part of its roof. After these unfortunate situations, the owner and son decided to remodel it.

It is distributed on a land of 4,8 x 25 meters. On the ground floor you have the living room, kitchen, laundry room and bathroom. its minimalist decoration enlarges the spaces to make the most of them.
A bright corridor adjoining the kitchen, laundry room and an interior patio connects the front living room with the room in the back. In the middle, the green patio provides light and ventilation. This area also serves as an extension to the kitchen and laundry room. On the second floor we find a guest room, totaling about 95 square meters.
An incredible mini garden grows on the concrete slab ceiling of the living room, which can eventually be built for future demands of the family that inhabits it.
The result is a simple house, very nice and inexpensive!
