Welcome back to Facades World, today we move once more to the Asian continent to share the design of a Japanese restaurant that will leave them speechless. What do you think if we start? Here we go!
Commercial premises - Japanese restaurant with wooden facade
The design of this building is located in Kampala, Uganda. In it we can find a Japanese restaurant, as well as a cafeteria and small shops, designs of commercial premises who share a concept that improves the local values of food and materials.

At the lowest point of the slope we will see a two-story building, while in the middle we appreciate how the basement sinks into the landscape. The ground floor is made of concrete and steel, while the first floor is made of eucalyptus wood.
The normal thing is to find eucalyptus wood frames, as como también eucalyptus scaffolds, just for those cases. Why ?, Because it tends to contract, twist and crack. But, by improving the drying and lumbering process, the architects of this project managed to turn them into a material that was strong enough to be used in the Main roof structure.
