This detached house of 70 meters square is located in Ciudad de la Costa, Uruguay. It was built for a couple of biochemists with a tight budget and tailored footage. The chosen material resulted in a simple wooden facade, which we will see below.

The plan for this simple construction was to have areas as comfortable as possible, hence the project has been raised with a very clear provision of spatial organization, where we will find located at the center and exempt from the edges the battery of kitchen - bath - laundry.

In the construction system we will find the use of vibrated concrete blocks for the walls and prefabricated hollow concrete tiles for the roof. On the outside, we spotted a burnt wood facade, and finally bars are placed for safety in expanded metal.

Design of prefabricated wooden house, details of a vertical construction to gain space

Today Facades World we will analyze the design and construction of a prefabricated wooden house built on a small plot of land in which it is necessary to carry out a vertical construction. Enjoy each one of the images and use them as an example for your home or future jobs… let's get started!

Design of prefabricated wooden house

Inside we will find a total of three floors with two rooms each. The novelty of this prefabricated wooden house is that it has no interior walls or doors, thus achieving great natural lighting. Let's start with the images so they can appreciate it better.

La prefabricated facade It has the wood placed vertically, three windows with two sliding leaves each one and the main entrance door has a small and light roof to prioritize access; in general it has a minimalist look that we find in various prefabricated buildings.

Model of the three-story prefabricated house

As we can see in the model of the manufactured home the built land has little depth, each floor has only two rooms, so on the first floor we have the service area (left first floor) with the laundry room, on the right we will see a small garage or non-motorized vehicle depot. The kitchen is located on the second floor and the living room on the right, and finally, two bedrooms on the third floor.

The house lacks dividing walls and also doors, achieving a bright interior thanks to the passage of natural light without interference. The frame of the house is made of wood and each Muji furniture fits perfectly in every room.

Interior design of the prefabricated wooden house

The color of the walls and ceilings is completely white, only some wooden details have been left in the beams and the floors that are of the same material.

From Facades World We hope and hope that this new entry will be of great help and may lead to future home remodeling. Remember to follow us on Facebook, Pinterest y Google + and thus add more and more users to our vast community ...

Expandable Ecological House

We present this house in New Orleans (Luisana, USA), which dazzled us for its originality, purity and practicality. It is ideal for any place, but more than anything in delta areas or near rivers and streams with potential floods.

It has 168 square meters on two floors, expandable to 250. It was built in 2008 by the Architect Studio Element, for the Foundation Make it Right. It is made of steel and wood

Facade                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Make It Right was founded by Brad Pitt at 2007. Build homes, buildings and communities for people in need, originally due to natural disasters. All of their projects are LEED Platinum certified and are inspired by the Cradle to Cradle system of Architect Bill McDonough, based on green building.

In 2005, Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and left thousands of people homeless. The government relocated them to prefabricated homes, but many were built with toxic materials. That's where Make it Right was born, to rebuild the city with low-cost homes, but healthy and sustainable. For that, architects were invited to comply with the Cradle to Cradle guidelines that maintain that green design can help prevent environmental disasters and promote the economy.

Extended House Option
                                                             Extended House Option

This modern house It fascinated us because in addition to fulfilling all of this, it is expandable by 82 m2 in an economic, easy, fast and tasteful way. Its design is versatile and adapts to different needs. It is sustainable and efficient because -among other things- its facade south is protected from bad weather and achieves natural cross ventilation.

They used steel-safe structures and efficient and ecological infrastructures, building half of the maximum allowed covered volume. The rest begins as a huge and comfortable porch, ready for the expansions of the original house or even for a second home. It serves as a space for family gatherings or with neighbors. In a second stage you can help to increase the value of the property by the expansion, or to earn money from the sale of a second home that can be built at medium cost.

We hope you like it and offer ideas and inspiration!
