Residential building in the City of Buenos Aires - Neighborhood constructions

Welcome to Facades World once again, on the day of the date, after several requests from our readers, we decided to put together a new entry with the design of an apartment building located in the City of Buenos Aires. We hope you like it and stay tuned because right now ... We started!

Neighborhood constructions - Residential building

East building located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, faces the difficulty of continuing to densify the city in a neighborhood of low houses of medium density with an identity of urban life. It projects a way building without balconies nor retreats, respecting the morphology of the apple where it is located.

The existence of a patio between the two blocks generates cross ventilation in housing and continuity in the visuals. The kitchens and the accesses of the units look towards the patio. The reinforced concrete structure is visible in its entirety and the enclosure of the building It consists of prefabricated modules of folded sheet which make openings and support the brick.

We will find a brick facade as material present in the neighborhood collective imaginary. The services of said dwelling are comprised of a wooden prism which articulates the income to each of the units.

La Casa Torre - five-story construction made of concrete

Today Facades World We present, analyze and share La Casa Torre, a Five-story construction made of concrete. An ideal example to get ideas for our home both in the interior design part and also in the architectural part. Don't miss it, follow us one more time on this new journey…!

Five-story house made of concrete

The Tower House is an experiment of living in vertical, a building of 400 m2 which is compressed into a 6.5 x 12.5 m footprint that forces the program to climb five stories instead of spreading across the ground. What despite the stacked floors, generates in the design the experience of living in a house with a diversity of spatial types throughout its section.

A concrete frame provides the skeleton of a modern five-story facadeWhile central vertical circulation It allows openings on all sides and an exterior entrance to each room. The walls surround the interior spaces, while the balconies they move around each floor to open up to new views. The Room they are treated as pockets within the larger frame, minimizing the need for air conditioning and maintaining the connection to the outside.

The Perforated windows around the wall they create an intimate experience, whose deeply protected view is found only when sitting. We will see how the design of this five-story house is based on two foundations: on the one hand to reflect a house, not a tower, and on the other hand use of verticality for a construction efficient and sensitive to climate. Each room inside the house opens from a ladder central, in the 1er and 4to floor the glass panels reveal the stair design already mentioned and they wrap it inside the rooms.

As a passive cooling element, the semi-open staircase causes air to enter the interior of the house, while ventilation in each room can be controlled by opening windows. We can appreciate how from the ground level to the 2do level, a ceramic screen it filters the light on the stairs, making it private and protecting it from rainwater.

The Balcony House - A Simple Construction by Takeshi Hosaka Architects

Maybe at some point in our lives we imagine what it would be like to live in a building where balconies abound, is not it? Well, on the day of the date Facades World will share a new copy where you will see what we call The house balcony, and you will see everything that its name indicates ... let's start!

The balcony house - construction with simple facade

This house with simple facade It was built in Tokyo to house a family of 3, in a look at the neighborhood, you can see windows with low fences and balconies. A place and a tool for communication with the city.

Thus, as we can see in the images, windows were installed on all 4 sides, and large and small balconies were placed on the interior side of the window to make it a place to be. There is a balcony in the window, outside and inside the house. You can live with a moderate sense of distance between balconies.

The balcony on the side of the window has the feeling of being on the outside, although it is inside the house. The feeling of being next to the window extends throughout the house, a way to implement something completely new to the interior design of a house in which we will find:

- Balcony Room (space for the couple's bed).
- Children's Balcony (space for children).
- Guest Balcony (futon for the exclusive use of visitors).
- Balcony Dressing room (space for makeup).
- Mini Balcony (a small space, with a low loft-style ceiling height. Ideal for children to play).

The front view shows us the facade of a modern house with stones, the shape of the house is characteristic of the houses in the area and is imposed by a local regulation. The main view of the lake to the north and the cold sub-humid climate forced to seek solar orientation in other directions, for this side balconies were opened thanks to which it was possible to receive solar radiation in the mornings and afternoons, too. taking advantage of the sharper angles of the shape of this modern two-story house.

The mixture of natural materials such as: stone, wood, steel and glass; along with the high-rise sharp spaces create a warm and contemporary atmosphere. Defining this construction, we can say that it is of modern conception with traditional construction materials and techniques of the site, a house with stone facade (back facade) whose interiors share a traditional and rustic definition in turn.

Charming Mediterranean House

This Mediterranean style house, was completed in 2015 in Tavira (Portugal), by Atelier Rua arquitectos. It has 286 square meters on 1 floor, divided between a central house and 3 exterior bedrooms. The Mediterranean is inspired by Renaissance constructions on that European coast. Its charm stems from primary designs of Italian, Spanish and French romantic architecture.

The brick-colored tile roof type case is inevitable. Reversed or stucco plaster walls, outdoor seating areas, columns and arched openings, balconies and wrought iron details are also common when there are 2 plants and give them a certain exotic Mediterranean air, which never goes out of style.

There are also more straight and simple exterior lines, with roof to 2 waters, like the one we present today. This house was remodeled with cost between medium and high, taking advantage of everything salvageable from an old house by the sea in Tavira; Beautiful tourist destination on the Algarve coast in Portugal.

The result is a versatile house adaptable to many areas, not necessarily the beach. Its central construction has an entrance hall, living room and living room, toilet, kitchen and 3 bedrooms en suite. We find this proposal inspiring and replicable on a smaller or larger scale. Being in a spa, the buildable land was taken advantage of by adding 3 external bedrooms with their small patios. Ideal for visits and to be exploited as lodging in season.

The decoration is simple, with rustic furniture clear of wood and light lines. The interior design maintains the profile of the exterior, adding curved lines in some terminations, such as the chimney. Predominates the white and the raw and neutral colors, accompanying the luminosity and reinforcing its appearance of fresh, cozy and ventilated house.

Decorations with neon lights on some walls bring modernity and surprise, cutting with the extreme serenity of the rest of the proposal, but without losing good taste

Here at the remodeling original pillars were used as separating columns-partition within the environments, a resource that is repeated several times. This proposal full of freshness we loved and we hope that you too!

As usual, we leave them with the photos of the interior and the plan, so that they can not only delight in them, but also use them as an example for future remodeling in their respective homes.
