Facades of two-story houses - Know the plans and models to get started

The facades of two-story houses They are usually a beautiful and advanced option to start with the construction of your home. Many people choose this modality because they are attracted to the idea of having the kitchen, for an Living room spacious and a guest bathroom. Since thanks to this, they can leave the second floor free for the different private areas, both the Room as well as the rest of toilets and family comfort zones.

Different facades of two-story houses - Which one do you like the most?

Today Facades World we will share some examples of facades of two-story houses so you can take into account when remodeling or creating your own home. We hope and hope that they are to your liking and help you obtain the results you are wanting ... let's see.

Post content

  • Modern two-storey house facade
  • White and modern
  • Simple two-story house design
  • Orthogonal shape
  • House among the trees

1. Facade of a modern two-story house

In this first house we find a two story modern house facade with an elegant and refined aesthetic. It has four bedrooms and several common areas, along with a patio designed to live together and share family moments.

The house has large windows, balconies and a wide terrace that is part of the garden. The diversity of materials for the facade it is defining the different plants and even their uses. On the first floor, the day areas, such as the kitchen and the living room, have been located. But also a small study and a complete bathroom with a shower tray. From the garage there is direct access to this floor. Finally, the first floor is designed for the three bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with two sinks and a dressing room, from which you can access the terrace.

2. White and modern

The second proposal is this house that exudes modernity and light. Again with two floors plus a basement, this house stands out in the surroundings in a resounding but friendly way, opening onto the landscape through large windows and several balconies.

For both its front and rear façades, two balconies have been designed. On the rear facade the balcony it serves as a ceiling for access and exit from the living room through a large window.

The ground floor of this house is closely related to the previous house that we showed you, since the main facade is usually in contact with the entrance door and the garage, and the back is reserved for the common rooms, which are connected turn to the garden. Once again we will see the bedrooms on the upper floor, thus gaining privacy and silence when going up one floor. The ground floor is left for meetings and daily use, and the top one, for the night ... let's see the plans.

3. Simple two-story house design

Unlike the previous one, we now find a simple two-story house design with a large gabled roof that surrounds it, generating attic spaces with special uses in the interiors. The contrast of the white of the walls with the gray of the roof results in a simple and pure aesthetic.

Attention to the following distribution: On the ground floor we find, not only the day area with the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, but also an independent strip with a single bedroom, a complete bathroom and a service room. Thus, the ground floor could be converted into a small apartment in case visitors come.

The remaining four bedrooms go up one level and are located one in each corner of the house. The axis that separates them is formed by the ladder and a bathroom with bathtub.

4. Orthogonal shape

We completely changed the style to show you a house with orthogonal shapes, a sum of volumes that overlap to create different spaces. White is the predominant color contrasting with the cheerful green of the garden. Glass and wood are two other materials that appear on the facade, with very different properties, which adds diversity to the image of the house towards the Exterior.

The plant corresponds to that sum of modules of which we spoke at the beginning, so it is easy to separate the uses according to the marked limits. On one side, access. To the other, a bedroom with bathroom. On the other, the day area with the living room, dining room and kitchen.

The upper floor is much simpler. Only two small bedrooms with dressing rooms and a bathroom are visible. But both have access to a large terrace overlooking the forest.

5. Houses among the trees

The last example corresponds again to a sloping roof house, having a two color house facade in which the wood appears, several balconies with glass railings, and large windows.

The ground floor is characterized by having a dynamic façade, with setbacks that define shady areas and sheltered outdoor spaces. The upper floor is used for the bedrooms, each with access to a balcony with different characteristics.

Which of all of them fits you the most?

Bioclimatic Pergola - Would you have one in your home?

When we think about decorating our outdoor space we must take into account several factors. If in our space we receive the sun for many hours, we must think of a solution that provides us with a shaded space. A bioclimatic pergola It is a great idea since they have a plus compared to wooden pergolas. Which provide? Smart shadow. So if you want to know more about them, do not detach yourself from the screen because we are starting right now!

But… What is a bioclimatic pergola?

A bioclimatic pergola It is an advance in solutions that allow us to create a shaded space, to protect ourselves from the sun either on a terrace, garden or a patio. The fascinating thing is that they can be accommodated to any size and their main characteristic is given in the adjustable slats that act as a ceiling. Why bioclimatic? It is 100% related to the specific conditions of the installation site. We will see it in several items to know all its details. Let's see…

Bioclimatic pergola with adjustable slats

This is the main reason why we differentiate a bioclimatic pergola of a wooden pergola. Excellent but what do they do? Very simple, the adjustable slats regulate the ambient heat, the light that enters, the degree of humidity and even the movement of the air. By having this great feature of being adjustable, they allow us to let in more light, air or simply nothing. In this case they become an ideal roof that can protect us from the rain.

Why would it be good to install a bioclimatic pergola?

Very simple, it is a solution that will allow us to enjoy the outdoors throughout the year. In the summer the bioclimatic pergola It will allow us to regulate the entry of light and heat but in winter we can open the slats completely to enjoy the full sun on the sunniest days.

What material to use?

There are many and most diverse materials for bioclimatic pergolas. In Facades World We recommend it for its price-quality ratio but also durability the aluminum ones. He because it is given in that it is a light and very resistant material. This last fundamental characteristic to extend the useful life of our pergola.

Extra features of a bioclimatic pergola

The difference between a traditional pergola does not only lie in its adaptability of the slats but we can also add some extras that can be more than beneficial. One of them could be a water mist system. What is it? Very simple is a system that basically expels water in the form of mist. This is done for the simple reason that it lowers the temperature through humidity but does not get wet. This is one of the many smart options that you can add to your space. They simply make your space more pleasant to enjoy it to 100% of its capacities.

Technological details

To our bioclimatic pergola we can add are lighting elements. Among the most chosen in many homes are led bands. The reason? It is given that they can be regulated with different tones or intensities. Another detail that we can add to our space are the sound bars that will allow us to make the space we are occupying more pleasant. Without a doubt they are extra elements that we can add but that we can take advantage of.

Autonomous sensors

Another of the characteristics that differentiate a wooden pergola from a bioclimatic pergola is that we can regulate them through a remote control if we do not want to do it manually. In addition to this, what we can do is install autonomous sensors that allow us to automate certain movements according to inclement weather. For example, if we add a rain sensor we can program our slats to close in bad weather. This allows us to be reassured that when we get home we will be able to use the space thanks to the fact that it is dry because the sensor did the work for us. In the case of wooden pergolas, the space simply could not be used because we would find it completely wet.

How much does it cost to install a bioclimatic pergola?

Given the characteristics that we have presented throughout the article, you can imagine that the price should not be cheap. This investment is worth it since we will be able to enjoy our exterior both in summer and winter continuously. As you imagine, the price depends on the characteristics, space, materials, etc. But as a guide we can tell you that the price per square meter is around 450 USD. Ideally, as we always recommend, you ask for several quotes to be able to compare what one offers us and the other.

Vertical gardens - Everything you need to know to be able to do them

El garden It is one of the areas of the house that should be decorated with the same care that you do with the rest of the house. It is not enough to plant a few species or take care of the lawn, the walls are also important when it comes to beautifying the garden. For that reason, if you count in this area Exterior With an undecorated wall, without any type of element that gives it a different touch, you can try these examples:

Courtyard walls with vertical gardens

Create a feature wall brimming with natural greenery. When space is limited, for example in small urban gardens or balconies, the vertical gardening it is an essential space saver.

The climbing plants they are a good starting point, but also creeping plants, grasses, or fast-growing annuals should be considered.

The walls are blank canvases and have the potential to retain heat well, so there are plenty of plants that will enjoy the conditions. Remember that the pots by the walls can be in the shade of the rain - approach this with a careful selection of plants.

Garden Walls with Hanging Pots

The pots and garden decorations can add a lot of character and color to your garden. From traditional terracotta to plastic and ceramic. Our range includes pots and saucers in all shapes and sizes to suit different budgets and tastes.

Painted Garden Walls

Colored walls create exciting effects and add a contemporary element to a design; the trick is to use strong colors sparingly if they don't dominate the space. Use soft, subtle shades to create a sense of calm and calm for your vertical garden, a quiet place, a million miles away from the hectic pace of everyday life.

Alternatively, the sumptuous Shades of peacock green, purple, deep red, and yolk yellow add rich, deep tones that complement pale-toned foliage plants and flowers. These colors attract attention and are best used as focal points.

The vibrant ones neon colors they scream 'Look at me' so use them sparingly to add dramatic touches to modern designs. Try painting a feature wall in hot pink or bright yellow - both colors go surprisingly well with a wide range of plants. Or add a touch of bright blue to chairs or walls to create a Moroccan theme.

Floor Paints - Advantages, Disadvantages, Types ... Everything You Need To Know!

Our colleagues and friends from Remodel Ideas this contribution has been shared with us for our entire community. So, after seeing the advantages, disadvantages and types of floor paintsWe recommend that you choose the one that best suits your taste and needs ... let's see.

There is a great variety of paints for painting floors. For example, special paints for floors are resistant to rain, UV rays, high traffic, and they are also non-slip, which makes them a more than attractive alternative to renovate floors or floors.

What types of floors can be painted?

Most floor paints can be applied both interior and exterior.

We can apply it on porous surfaces such as cement, brick, polished wood, concrete floors, concrete tiles and with an enamel coating. On the other hand, floors with a smooth surface such as ceramic, porcelain, or polished granite, and all floors with high gloss and smoothness, cannot be painted because they do not have the porosities that the stain needs to adhere.

Advantages of painted floors

  • Easy application by brush, roller or spray
  • Good wear resistance
  • Fast dry
  • Good resistance to mold, acid and dilute oxides, oils and fats

Disadvantages of floor paints

  • The dye must be well protected, because streaks may appear.
  • Absorbs stains.

Types of floor paints

What kind of options do I have to paint my floor? How can I choose the paint? They are surely the questions you ask yourself if you are thinking about this option for your floors.

We leave you the details of different types of floor paints.

Exterior painted floor paint

La paint for exterior floors is designed for spaces of high traffic such as garage, patio, garden. You can use high traffic epoxy paint, which you will find in different colors. If you do not want to change the color of the surface, use clear polyurethane lacquer for floors, which will highlight the shine of the floor.

Interior Floor Paints

La interior floor paint is designed for environments light traffic such as living rooms, bedrooms, dining room, bathrooms, hallways, etc. One of the most recommended for this type of environment is latex, which gives the floor a uniform finish. He latex dye It is made up of more parts of water than oil, so it is easier to dilute.

What is epoxy floor paint

La epoxy paint is a group of dyes with high resistance to different attacks and is made up of two components, one contains the epoxy resin and the other the high performance catalyst or hardener. It allows to obtain high thicknesses by hand, giving the floors a total waterproofing and excellent resistance.

How to paint cement floors

El cement floor It is characterized by being porous and this allows a better adhesion of the paint on the surface, which is why epoxy, latex and acrylic paint works well. Any of these three types of paint can give your floor a new atmosphere.

How to paint wooden floors

The wood floor they are easier to paint. The best option is to use latex water-based paint, for which you must apply a primer coat prior to painting.

Steps to paint the floor

  1. Surface Preparation: In the case of floors, it is essential, since they are surfaces subject to constant friction. The surface to be painted must be clean and dry: free of grease, oil, wax, dust, etc.
  2. Apply a coat of Conditioner / Sealer: The product must not form a surface film, it must be absorbed by the surface.
  3. Paint application It should be done according to the manufacturer's instructions. Always respect the drying times indicated in the instructions. For its placement, a brush, roller or blowtorch is used, going over repeatedly in order to obtain the maximum penetration of the paint.

Recommendations: Avoid painting under direct sunlight, as adherence is impaired due to the excessive speed of water evaporation. Also avoid painting with an ambient humidity higher than 85% or when rain is expected.

We thank our friends from Remodel Ideas For this great contribution and we highly recommend its website, there you will find countless entries to remodel your home.
