Different types of bricks for construction and finishing, do not miss the uses you can give and much more

Welcome back to Facades World, on the day of the date we will analyze the Different types of bricks for construction and finishing that we can meet, in order to have a little more knowledge regarding this material and its different uses, thanks to which they will be able to feel more calm when using it ... let's get started!

Different types of bricks for construction and finishing

It is necessary to have the basic knowledge about the building materials that we will use in the lifting of our house, Brick is one of the most used materials, now we will see each of them in a practical way (only those used for construction and finishing of houses), in order to adequately start the responsible self-construction that we intend to Facades World.

Types of construction bricks

to. Brick baked clay

Is brick used for multiple buildings, has no holes and is made with earth baked in ovens, its manufacture is mostly handmade.

b. Perforated earth brick

This brick unlike the first we mentioned is that having holes allow the entry of mortar or concrete, in this way the wall becomes more resistant.

c. Brick perforated at the edge

Also used in ceilings and partitions, since they are practically hollow, they reduce the load, however currently builders choose lighter materials such as technopor or polystyrene expanded when the formwork is made with reinforced concrete in ceilings.

d. Adobe

This is a material used mostly in rustic rural homes or in single-level complexes, is made of mud dried directly in the sun, the point in favor of the adobe is that it has thermal capacity but on the other hand it is very weak in resistance, having to use other types of construction technologies to be able to maintain a safe house.

These are basically these four types of bricks used in housing construction. PFor a safe self-construction we will choose the brick baked or in the oven if it is with better perforations, with adobe there are also very creative designs of rural houses (even mud hotels) but its use demands using other knowledge and techniques to keep the house safe as the use of steel meshes and joints of wood and cables. Let's see now the part where we will use the Brick in the form of finishing as design for our house.

Decorative wall bricks

Once we have decided that a wall will have one or all of its exposed views, it is time to choose the type of brick that will constitute the wall. We will classify them in two so they can understand it more easily and we can start the construction.

to. Decorative caravista brick

Once the wall has been finished you will notice the exposed bricks that maintain their defined lines and contours, this type of brick is made so that it does not need terracing, after its placement we can even paint them with enamel to add shine or simply leave it with the texture and natural tone.

b. Rustic decorative wall brick

If we want to give our house a rustic touch for interiors or exteriors, a rustic brick will be the best option, this is characterized simply by having imperfect edges, the final finish can give the environments a unique style.

Decorative bricks for floors

The bricks that are placed on the floors have greater resistance to the transit of people but they maintain that warm finish that you are surely looking for. Mostly these floors are placed in patios, terraces, gardens and even in parks, the effect is cozy and unique.

There are Different varieties of floor brick designs both in form and color, choose the one that best suits your design. To finish, in the form of a tip, we recommend you to combine the different types of bricks according to the design or model you want to give to your home, a good choice will make your home a comfortable place and above all durable over time.

Dome design for garden or terrace, an interesting alternative to protect us from the sun and cold outside our house

Today Facades World we bring you a new lightning article where we will share the design of a dome for terrace or garden, in order that they may have an interesting alternative when it comes to protecting themselves against the cold or the sun's rays. Do not move from your screens because we started!

Dome design for house with garden or terrace

To cover one terrace or garden we have several options like for example wooden structures in the shape of pergolas or even simple linen umbrellas, but buying or making a dome is presented as an interesting alternative to create a new space outside the house, then that's where from Facades World we get down to work.

We will use a dome instead of an umbrella

The tubes of the structure are made of PVC and are joined in triangular form to give resistance to the oval shape that we will find in this dome. We do not need to have a large space to create an alternative of this magnitude, in fact, we can say that it would fit perfect for Modern houses with terrace or gardenthe small houses with large exteriors, or maybe for constructions with 10 x 20 plans, among others.

Perfect also for those days that will be cold

Of course this is another saying that if we have a jacuzzi in the terrace design, we can also use a dome to cover it at any time of the year. Then we will leave an explanatory video of how we will build this dome, to make everything easier for them and that they only have to dedicate themselves to enjoying those afternoons or evenings with family and friends using that constructive alternative.

How to assemble the dome in a short time

Kitchen tables of different styles to decorate the interior of your house, unique copies, choose yours

Welcome back to Facades World, one of the busiest sites on the web within the architectural field. In this day we will analyze kitchen tables of different styles to decorate the interior of your house, so that they stay glued to the screen because we start!

Kitchen tables of different styles for the interior of your house

In many occasions Facades World has been offering our readers different informative articles about different types of cuisine, design of living rooms and dining rooms, as well as different terraces to remodel our home, among many other things. Today it's the turn of the kitchen tables, so we have made a classification of them in terms of their shape and style to facilitate reading and we will share 20 images of unique specimens so they can enjoy as much as they can.

When we thought about decorating the interior of our house we choose the colors that will predominate inside, especially on the walls, and then as we choose the colors of the furniture. In the most elegant and stylish kitchens, the design tables and the glass tables are very good. In general, this decorative element is usually positioned on the horizontal table of the furniture and these tables usually make sets and go with specific chairs.

On the other hand, they extend kitchen tables in a two-color design which in most cases are usually black and white. On many occasions, people make the mistake of thinking that minimalist kitchen furniture They are specially designed for small interiors where there is not enough space. Although its primary purpose is that, this does not mean that these furniture do not allow them to be placed in larger interiors. One of the most important things that we recommend you take into account when decorating with furniture is its place inside the house.

The Kitchen furniture that are designed to place them in a corner and they are sets that consist of a table with several chairs and a sofa are very appropriate for interiors in which we do not have the space we would like. Another very important and interesting thing, at the same time, is that in the modern kitchens The furniture is usually smaller and in them many times we can find furniture that is not typical or is not the traditional furniture for these rooms. However, if they want to follow this decorative model they have to follow two rules: first, the furniture has to be minimalist and, second, the interior has to be more spacious. Enjoy the rest of the images ...

Use these copies to remodel spaces within your home and remember that you can continue browsing Facades World to find what they are looking for. We invite you once again to go through our social networks Facebook, Pinterest y Google +. We will meet again soon ...

Casa Gabriela, a simple construction with ecological elements and interiors in wood

On the day of the date Facades World presents you with simple construction of concrete, in which we will find wooden furniture and Mexican finishes. Do not miss this new entry that we offer and use it for future remodeling and finishing in your own home.

La Gabriela House located in Merida, Mexico, it is a single-family home located in an area in the urban development process of this city. The objective was to provide the user with a practical refuge and at the same time sereno, that had considerations of safety, thermal comfort and energy efficiency, as well as a Low cost of construction and maintenance. Together with the dividing walls, it generates a small square, which was designed as a public space that fulfills the purpose of producing a use towards the public road, a characteristic of the Traditional Yucatecan architecture that contributes to the safety of neighborhoods.

Access to housing has a space with a water element made up of an area of organic elements that functions as a mosquito control and that oxygenates by natural means another area that is accessible for recreational use. This element is perceived from all social areas of the interior, having special interaction with the entrance hall.

Interior design of Casa Gabriela

An important area of this work is the social area where the kitchen, living room and dining room converge; an intermediate service area where the bathroom and the washing closet were located; and finally a bedroom. Both the social area and the bedroom have semi-outdoor rear terraces which are perceived as extensions of the same. From the social terrace you reach the back garden and an open patio on the roof.

The climate of the region allows several openings to be closed only with mosquito netting, allowing a constant natural ventilation. The double heights They have zenith openings that allow the evacuation of hot air, achieving a comfortable interior temperature without the need to use artificial means. The construction system is the most common in the area, based on cement blocks, joists and slabs. This is manifested in the lower bed of the slabs that cover the double heights. The low ceilings are thermally insulated with polystyrene panels. The management of vibro-compressed cement lattices allows the interior of the house to be protected from insolation, rain, vandalism and hurricanes.

The architectural finishes are apparent. The floors are concrete roughing, as well as the pre-cast plates on site with which the fixed furniture was assembled. All walls and low ceilings have a burnished waterproof cement-based stucco. The proposed vegetation is mostly endemic. They were considered iconic species of the local culture, others that attract wild birds, and finally fruit trees, vegetables and herbs for human consumption.

In this architectural work the colors predominate in the accesses, both frontal and posterior, as well as in the furniture and functional accessories of the house. These were chosen from a range found in handcrafted elements of the local culture, as well as by their ability to dialogue with the tonalities of the different blooms of the gardens.

A proposal that will be of great help if you are thinking of doing a home remodeling or for possible jobs that are to be done. A facade of house with exposed brick, with the difference that on this occasion the material of the brick is concrete.

Plans of houses of one and two floors, possibility of extension

According to family growth, these plans of houses of one and two floors they will show you the result of one of the proposals of winning single-family homes of the CODHAB-DF competition, belonging to departments and duplexes.

This type of construction can enter and cover the need of several of our readers who ask us 10 × 10 house plans, facades of houses 8 × 15, facades of houses 6 × 15, among others. Referring to the images that you will see below, it is possible to build two bedrooms that are illuminated by interior garden patios, the free space that is in the central right part of the plan (ground floor) can be built later when the family grows.

One story house plans - Left first floor plan, right second level

The zoning of the room that is surrounded by free spaces stands out, which makes it possible to better direct the visuals and have better natural lighting. The small kitchen is linear in shape and is located in the central part of the building, which allows it to fulfill its function between the social and intimate area of the house. On the left side, the stairs of a single section have been designed that reach the social area of the second level.

On top of this floor plan of modern one-story house we found a typical plant and completely independent, as detail we can see that at this level the service area is roofed, but it is fully functional as a laundry area - drying rack since it is ventilated by one of its sides that is open, has varanda of protection.

Cutting and lifting plans

In cutting and lifting plans for small house we can appreciate the constructive system with concrete bricks and roofs in the upper floor of fiber cement tiles (see cutting plan AA and BB) that allow waterproofing the house, this is important in buildings with rainy climates, thus achieving an economic house and little maintenance

Small house in the big city, appreciates its modern interiors and unique plans

Today Facades World we bring you one small and modern house with which they will feel identified and surely they will be able to take many but many ideas for remodeling, interior ideas, and of course, to evaluate the plans of this simple but contemporary construction.

This small work, located in Brooklyn, United States, was remodeled in 2017 on a narrow terrain 3,4 meters wide. The original 2-story, 305 m2 house was fully restored and extended by adding a master suite above and digging a modern rear foyer below, resulting in a four-story house.

Front facade of the small house

Against the facade of the house

This narrow section is classified perfectly as the facade of a nice and simple house, and consists of bricks and steel joinery. It also incorporates wide openings that allow access to natural light.

If what they are looking for are photos of facades of small houses, the copy of the day of the date will be of great help for their respective works, thus giving a modern touch to the future constructions that they have in mind. Then, finishing what is referred to the front of the house, you will be able to appreciate two more images: an aerial view of the back garden and another of the new terrace.

Front view of the access to the terrace

Modern interior design for small houses

In this work we will find a functional interior design, since I create an effective but austere use of space since every inch was important. The precise position of walls, doors and windows was crucial as each floor was planned to serve a purpose. The basement serves as a new entrance, storage, laundry and mechanical area; the first floor is a continuous public space with living room, dining room, kitchen and library that overlooks gardens at the front and back; the second contains two children's bedrooms along with a bathroom with 2 sinks; while the highest level contains the master suite with a sleeping area, bathroom, balcony and terrace.

Minimalist style kitchen with breakfast bar
                                                                               Breakfast area
Living room with white range colors

Master suite located on the top floor
                                                                        Bathroom

Plans of modern housing

                                                            Axonometry - Construction system
                                                        Floor plan - pre remodel
                                                     Floor plan - post remodel
                                                                    Axonometry - Section

A thin steel ladder repositioned on the south side dividing wall connects the house vertically and attracts more light, air and views to the interior of the building. The materials throughout the home are unpretentious, natural, and unpretentious - the rawness of unfinished steel and the character of walnut are juxtaposed with the simple refinement of marble and matte ceramic tile.

At the end of our entry today, Facades World Thanks as always for being part of all the contributions we offer on our website. Remember that you can follow us on our social networks Facebook, Pinterest y Google +.

Design of modern rustic house, with plans and interiors

En Facades World we bring you one single family Home located in one of the zones with greater housing growth of the City of Puebla, in Mexico. It is built on a rectangular plot of 150 m2 which is inside a residential subdivision where there are quite demanding restrictions with respect to the design.

La modern rustic facade of this house is designed based on the architectural program and the interior function. On the ground floor we will find a lattice of tropical wood It divides the interior-exterior visuals giving the user great privacy, however, it allows cross ventilation and the passage of natural light. On the upper floor, not only are the windows recessed, but the eaves work to regulate the solar radiation according to the season of the year in which we are.

                                                     Rear facade of rustic housing

A little of your interior design

Originally the project is based on a broken “C” design, extracting and drilling the plants to create cross ventilation and allow maximum use of natural light in different spaces. The ground floor houses the social areas of this rustic house, so walls were removed to create contiguous spaces and large environments that integrate the gardens. The construction area is used to the maximum, taking advantage of the transitions from one space to another, eliminating large circulations.

On the upper floor, we will find the bedrooms where the vertical perforations and terraces keep the light as a constant and changing element during the hours and moments of the day. One of the vertical perforations, allows the creation of a patio where different elements coexist as for example the red brick annealed, natural wood, The steel planters and the vegetation. This patio, innovative, can be seen from the different levels of this modern rustic house, surprising users in this way when looking through the window. Finally, in the Roof Garden we will find the services and the terrace, with a unique view towards the volcanoes.

Use of brick for the creation of the inner courtyard
