Design of a small house with a concrete facade - Simple constructions

Welcome to Facades World, on the day of the date we thought it would be a great idea to share with all our readers the simple house design which has a concrete facade, a current construction that we hope will be to your liking and serve as an example if you are looking to remodel certain spaces in your home ... Let's start!

Design of a simple house for a family of three

The project is about the design of a small one-story house for a family of few members, three to be more exact. Since air and natural wind were important factors, the decision was made to locate two patios in the house, one in the front and one in the backyard, thus helping the air to circulate easily in the living space.

To have an overview inside, they were used large glass panels deleting the inner-outer limit. We will see how the design of the front roof stands out 2.4 m and the rear roof 1.5 m, so it is possible to minimize direct sunlight in the glass pieces that heat the house in the summer.

To secure the private space, the bedroom, bathroom and office were separated from the living space with a concrete wall 2.2 m high. For cool the house in summer, we will see that roof with a surface with a layer of nets and stones, creating a gap with the concrete, helping the heat to be released quickly when the sun rises.

100% self-sustaining two-story house - passive housing projects

Today Facades World we will review the design of a self-sustaining two-story house, that kind of housing that uses clean energy. So we recommend that you do not move from your seat because you are going to love this new entry ... Let's start!

Two-story self-sustaining house design - passive housing

We will see a Two-story house design with interior that maximizes each space to create new environments. We will also include the plans of each of the floors so that they can appreciate their distribution in the best way and see their orientation towards energy saving.

In its right part we will find located a parking lot, in the center the main access to this self-sustaining two-story dwelling, and on its left side a loft very illuminated thanks to the material used in its construction, which allows the entry of light through the door.

If we plan to implement a automatic system for two cars to enter the garage, the best option is to consider increasing the parking height to about 4 meters, or according to the type of car we use.

For the house to be 100% self-sustaining the following is used

  • Photovoltaic panels placed on the roof for lighting and water heating.
  • Thermal isolation
  • Correct orientation of the windows and doors according to the sunlight and the direction of the winds.
  • House built 100% in wood from forests harvested in a sustainable way which are certified.

Introverted house in the north of Córdoba - ONO Arquitectos

Today we have reached Facades World a new copy of the hand of ONO Architects in which we will see the design and construction of an industrial style home in the province of Córdoba, Argentina. Fasten those belts because today we are not wasting a minute ... we start!

Industrial style housing - brick and concrete

Located in a lot between medianeras we can appreciate this Introverted housing towards the public space, leaving in view diverse materialities that define the whole proposal of the project. Then we start with the images so they can better appreciate what we tell them.

The typology appropriately said is located in the center of the land, favoring the opening towards two patios that make green lungs and that structure this industrial style house - traditional. An entrance courtyard separates the garage and a private office, which is linked by a semi-covered entrance plate that culminates in the façade. The other patio is the main one which opens onto a social area.

With regards to functionality in the interior design, the idea was to create an integrated environment that would allow to appreciate the distribution of the house, using a double height that connects the social area on the ground floor, the private area, on the upper floor. The ladder It is the central point which ends linking this idea that we just mentioned.

The imprint regarding the materials used for the construction of this industrial housing was one of the premises that ended up marking the project and that would accompany the various special sequences that the house proposes. Thus, concrete and brick were used as materials that give it warmth both in the facade design as also in its interior finishes.
